Tobias Schoels holds a B. Sc. in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen and M.Sc. in embedded systems engineering from the University of Freiburg. Since fall 2018 he is a Ph.D. student at the systems control and optimization laboratory in Freiburg and conducts research on model predictive control based robot motion planning and control in dynamic environments. Until December 2020 he was part of Bosch Corporate Research where he contributed to the motion planning of the Bosch Active Shuttle and the Trimbot. He then joined Kiteswarms GmbH and developed motion planning algorithms for tethered multi-drone systems. In October 2021 he joined Psiori GmbH and is now technical lead of Psiori‘s autonomous crane project in the US.
