Embedded NMPC with acados on the FurutaShield

The talk will introduce the AutomationShield initiative as an open-source platform for control education and experimental validation. It will then focus on the FurutaShield, a compact rotary inverted pendulum device, and the current progress in implementing acados-based nonlinear model predictive control on embedded hardware. The final part will summarize the achieved results, encountered integration issues, and planned next steps toward reliable real-time closed-loop control.
