The talks reviews methods and pitfalls for estimating the orientation of an object or in other words the attitude using MEMS IMUs.
Furthermore results of a Single Sensor IMU tracker combined with a GPS will be presented. The limitiations of the rigid body model will be discussed under the aspect of coning and sculling motion.
